retail therapy

Location: Corridor- Uss Hephaistos

After leaving Simon, Isobella was fuming with him, after all she had done to be kind and considerate with the situation that they found themselves in, she hadn't pushed him that far about it other than told the other women that he was off the market, He had told her that he was not happy about it. To top it off he now had informed the Captain, that he wanted to have a change of quarters and also the Quartermaster had been informed of this which did not please her one bit, as she stormed into their shared quarters and knew that things were going to change for her.

She looked around the room and knew the best place for her to go was onto the station and cool off, as she knew the ship was being restocked and supplied for her next mission, Isobella knew that it would be a long time coming before they were back here again. She then turned around to face the door and headed back out to see what she could find. She thought oO Maybe a bit of retail therapy is in order. Oo

Back in the corridor, she still felt alone and had been abandoned by Simon as she wondered if it would be better for her to transfer off of here, she knew that he no longer wanted her near him. but that was not going to spoil her afternoon thinking about him as she headed towards the airlock. So this afternoon was going to be about her and only her and if he didn't want her then she would say stuff him.

==20 minutes later==

As she exited the airlock and walked down the docking ramp and headed towards the Station's promenade, she thought oO first off look at some new clothes then look at getting some company after Simon has left, Oo as she knew that she might have pushed him into making this choice, she thought to herself, oO By refusing him to have female friends, have I lost him, Oo as she neared the first clothes shop. she looked at the reflection in the window and wondered if the fates had brought them together for a reason.

As she entered the shop and started to browse the clothes, she had come to realise that she had something good going with Simon and by pushing him away like she had might make it hard to talk to him, she knew that she needed to talk to someone about this, but didn't know who. as she found a lovely Red flowing gown that might be good for Parties and social gatherings aboard the Hephaistos. even Maybe shake Simon up and make him realise what he has lost. as she looked at the sizes and found one that might fit her, she took it over to the fitting room to try it on.

As she approached the shop assistant, She asked," May I try this on?" as she looked at the red headed assistant who gave a nod of her head and ushered her into a cubicle. after a few minutes she stepped out of the cubicle and steeped in front of the sales assistant who looked at her with a grin. She said," Wow, that does suit you," she looked back at Isobella who stood in front of a mirror and looked back at her reflection. The Sales assistant continued," Your fella is sure to take notice of you in that,"

"What fella?" replied Isobella who still looked at herself in the Mirror, She continued," I got Shafted by him this Morning after being with him for a few months," as she turned to face the sales Assistant. She finished," now he is free to chat up any women on the ship he likes," as she still fuming that Simon had done this to her.

The sales assistant asked," So what did you do to make him give you the old heave ho then?" as she leaned up against the wall, she continued," Names Sharron Robertson by the way, and you are?" giving Isobella a smile.

Isobella replied" I'm Ensign Isobella Greer from the USS Hephaistos," she replied giving her rank and the ship she was on. She continued," Nice to meet you Sharron," as she held out her hand. She finished, " and to answer your Question, I told him that he could not have any female friends," as she looked back at her new friend.

"And you have Male friends on the ship am I right?" asked Sharon looking back at the blonde haired Ensign, "and if you do that is being hypocritical to say the least," she finished as she pulled one foot against the wall.

"Well, I do yes," replied Isobella as she now understood what she had done to upset him, as she started to wonder if he felt that she didn't trust him around the other women on the ship and in a relationship trust was the key factor in it that made it last a long time. as she finished," I think I better get changed back into my uniform as I might have to talk to a certain person," as she turned to head back into the cubicle, She knew that Sharon was right about one thing and that was one rule for one and another for the other didn't work.

"Well then I can't say I blame him can you?" replied Sharron as she watched Isobella go back into the Changing room, she continued," In a relationship there is give and take and to me all you wanted is take," as she heard the ruffle of the clothes being changed. as Sharron knew her break was nearly over and had been understanding with her new friend.

"I suppose your right about that," replied Isobella as she slipped out of the dress, she continued," and maybe I took him for granted and made him feel like I was overbearing," as she picked up her pants from the chair and started to slip them on. She finished "So what do I do?" as she pulled them up to her waist, She looked back at the grey undershirt and then picked that up and started to pull it on.

"Talk to him in a calm manner and explain that you were worried that he might find someone" he stated looking at her watch as she continued" and tell him how you feel about him," as the door opened from the Cubicle and she saw Isobella back in her uniform, "and tell him that you love him,"

"I will, and thank you Sharon," replied Isobella as she looked back at her new friend, "I just hope that he is willing to listen to me after the way I treated him," she continued as she knew that Simon might be willing to give her another chance. She finished, "And I'm going to take this dress and use it."

"good girl," replied Sharon "And remember in a relationship it is give and take," as she knew that Isobella was now going to treat her man to a good night, However, she was willing to give it a try and hoped that the guy she was with was also willing to give it a try. she concluded," And give me a call and let me know how it went," as she watched her new friend live the changing room and head off to purchase the item.
